Dear Friends,
As I reflect on this past year, I am filled with gratitude for all we’ve accomplished together.
At Easterseals New Jersey, we don’t just provide services—we transform lives.
This year, we served over 4,000 individuals—a 25% increase compared to last year. Among
them, 80% of participants in Integrated Case Management Services (ICMS) avoided
psychiatric hospitalizations, demonstrating the power of stability and care. Additionally,
40% of individuals receiving mental health services reported significant improvements in
daily functioning. Employment remains a key driver for change, with numerous programs
exceeding expectations and opening doors for secured employment. These are not just
statistics, but a representation of lives reclaimed and futures restored.
However, the need remains great. A recent study shows that 42% of adults in New Jersey
report having anxiety or depression, and nearly 1 in 5 residents live with a disability. Your
support is essential in addressing these challenges.
Easterseals New Jersey remains financially strong and is ready to continue providing high-
quality care. Our dedicated staff fosters a culture of compassion and excellence, making
every participant feel seen and valued.

those seeking assistance. Through our Information & Referral program, even if you are not
eligible for our services, we do not leave you without finding a path in your journey.
With the support of our staff, we

In 2017, James joined Easterseals New Jersey after
battling severe alcoholism and bipolar disorder. He moved
into a group home where staff provided round-the-clock
care and encouragement. Over eight years, he worked
tirelessly toward independence, overcoming obstacles
with help from dedicated staff.
Today, James is 22 months sober, at a healthier weight,
and excited about his future. He has secured a job at
Home Depot, arranged a transfer to a new location,
and is preparing to move into his own apartment
with his girlfriend. "I never felt alone on my journey
because I was never alone," he said.
From learning how to cook to gaining a new smile
with dentures, James’ success is a testament to
perseverance and the power of support. "Today, I
have another chance at life," he proudly stated.
Adventure to Success
A 20-Year Success: CenterPath Wellness
In 2003, a program participant joined Easterseals New Jersey’s
CenterPath Wellness counseling agency for medication
management. Over the years, she faced numerous challenges,
including multiple hospitalizations. With dedicated care, she
has been hospital-free since 2017.
James’ Path to Independence
As part of her Transitional Employment Program, she gained work experience in the CPW
kitchen, even persevering through the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, in her late 30s, she has
landed a stable job in her community and remains employed a year later. "I’m proud of my
progress and excited about gaining independence," she shared.
