program participants and their

families to rate our services
and share their feedback in our

satisfaction surveys. Here is what
one family wanted to share.

“

To answer just questions would NEVER truly express how our family feels about the Lacey
Easterseals day program. Our son spent 28 years in residential care group homes…we had many
misgivings about his care, until finally we made the decision to bring him home and seek a day
program. We thank God every day for Karen Wagner and her staff at Lacey. They welcomed John
and he immediately fell right into the “groove.” The staff was kind and compassionate from day
one. They treated John with respect and included him in all activities with no hesitation. He LOVES
his program and has made friends with I think the whole client role…this was what John needed
and Easterseals provided it.

I’m sure you hear regularly when things go wrong or badly…well we, John's family, would like you
to know what a superb program you have at Lacey. They could never get enough praise for all they
do…They go over and beyond; even coming back to our house to retrieve John’s swimming gear
when he forgot they were going to the pool. They go way out of the way to make each client feel
worthy of being part of the group.

Sadly, for our health reasons, we will be leaving N.J. and relocating to Mississippi to be closer
to our daughter. For John’s benefit, as we age, we want her close by for his care. It truly is with
a heavy heart that we leave Lacey. It has been nothing but a wonderful, caring, and nurturing
environment for our son.

Lacey is the standard by which all other programs should be judged. God Bless them all. ”
