A Successful PAC, SCSEP Summer BBQ

Dedication and hard work bloomed into a successful PAC, SCSEP Summer BBQ. The first ever SCSEP BBQ
that represented all four New Jersey counties including Bergen, Hudson, Middlesex, and Union counties.
Approximately 250 seniors made their way to the Liberty State Park Pavilion in Jersey City, via, bus, vans, trains,
and cars. In addition to SCSEP seniors, there were great hardworking volunteers from Easterseals New Jersey
headquarters: Helen Drobnis - Chief Advancement Officer, Tanisha Green - Sr. Financial Analyst, and Anysa Holder
- AVP of Marketing. They were also joined by other guests including Real House Director, Martyse Strychacz, and
14 of her staff.

Employers such as McIntyre Associates' Bob McIntyre, St. Bernardine Home Care Services' Gina Bongo - Manager
and Bernardine Samin - Director of Team Walker, Inc., also joined the fun and spoke about what employers want.
They also had host agencies Urban League of Hudson County's Brenda Pettiford, and NAACP Board members,
who spoke about available senior services. A representative from the council office, Councilman Jermaine
Robinson of Ward F and his aide, Britney Kelly, joined the BBQ as well! Great food was grilled and served. There
was so much food, that the seniors had an opportunity to take it home and continue their feasting. Party-goers
also enjoyed entertainment such as dance contests, volleyball, bingo, and card games.
