A Carnival Celebration of Service

This summer, Easterseals New Jersey’s Camp Merry Heart celebrated one of its best club service
days of all time! Every year, Camp invites its local supporters to come and participate in a day of fun
and fundraising. Supporters are thanked for their help in keeping the grounds beautiful and making
repairs to our facilities. A carnival theme inspired merriment was shared among all the campers, staff,
Rotary members, and sponsors in attendance. Tents throughout the area offered a variety of different
activities for everyone to enjoy including carnival games, cotton candy, face painting, popcorn, and
even a dunk tank for those brave enough to sit in the hot seat. All of this was made possible by our
sponsors and by participating Rotary club members. At the end of the day, our camp director, Kim
Minerley, handed out service awards to recognize those who continue to contribute to the success
of our camp. We can’t think of better way to have spent such a sunny afternoon in Hackettstown. A
special thanks to all the staff, camp and everyone else who helped make this amazing event possible
once again.
