Tis the Season to be Jolly

The Blairstown Community Living Service Program began the holiday season with a tree decorating
party that was organized by a participants sibling, along with members of the Knowlton Methodist
Church. After setting up and decorating the tree, everyone celebrated the holiday with a pizza party!
In keeping with the spirit of giving, The Knowlton Methodist Church presented all of the Blairstown
participants with gift cards. It was a beautiful day where the kindness of family and the community truly
filled the air.

A Visit from Santa

Rio Grande Day Program had a visit from Santa who gave out presents to all the participants,
compliments of a $400 donation from the Cape May Knitters Club. Rio held 2 parties, one at the center
and one at St. Barnabas Church. They had another special visit from Shelley Samuels who came
to both parties and brought cookies for everyone. Jimmy Talbo, a friend of one of our participant’s
parents played Christmas music with his electric guitar from 12 noon until 2:30 p.m. at the St. Barnabas
Church. All of the participants had so much fun, including Curtis, (seen in the picture on the far left,) who
received a picture of Oprah Winfrey, one of his favorite celebrities!
