Jamail Blair is the Service Specialist at Easterseals Raritan Valley
Work Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Jamail supports the
on-site program participants as they work in the packing, sorting,
accounting, and document imaging departments. The participants
are given the opportunity to learn and retain vital work skills while
they earn a paycheck at the work center. The goal is to provide
the participants with a variety of tasks and to show them they can
master any skill.
Recently, program participants Jackie, Mike, and Cindy all got
jobs in the FileSave Document Imaging department, where they
are thriving. Jackie said, “There’s not many negatives to the job
other than the fact that it’s time consuming.” Mike admitted that,
“Sometimes I need to ask questions, but ever since I was trained,
I’m able to go to work without any help.” While Cindy exclaimed,
