Money Management & Better Mental Health!

If you’ve kept up-to-date on our Enriching Lives Newsletter, you know that our last edition featured
a story about a Hunterdon County social group formed in our Community Living Services program.
We all know how important socialization is to a happy and healthy mindset...

Well, we’re happy to report that the group is still going strong, adding new members.

These individuals have made great progress in managing their mental health and deserve to go
out and have a good time. Attending these social events increases their social skills and helps
reintegrate them into the community. They go out on picnics, visit Six Flags, or go out to eat at
hibachi restaurants.

In order to accomplish this we started a budget that would allow them to go to different places
together and have fun, as long as they took the responsibility to save their own money. This is a
great way to also learn about money management! They wanted to share their experience once
again to show that the social club has gotten bigger with more members and that mental illness is
nothing to be ashamed of.
