Across our programs staff worked to spread the joys of friendship and support
In North Jersey, a Fundraiser Full of Fun!
In celebration of St. Valentine's Day, this year Easterseals NJ's
Participant Advisory Council (PAC) held their first Valentine’s
Day fundraiser. This fundraiser was held to support the
Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) - a
program that supports employment training and placement for
individuals aged 55 and up in New Jersey.
The PAC, a
group of SCSEP
participants
who volunteer to
exchange ideas,
create activities, guidance, education, and feedback to the
SCSEP administrators sold tickets for $10.00. The event that
raised nearly $2,200 for the vital program, included dinner,
a silent auction, music from the “golden oldies,” a dance
contest, and a chance to network and meet participants
from all four represented counties.
PAC not only gives our SCSEP participants an opportunity to network and share their thoughts and ideas
on finding suitable employment, but it also enables them to share job leads that may be available in

A Day of Old Friends and High Spirits
Participants of the Community Living Services program
in Monmouth County gathered at our Grace Street site in
celebration of St. Valentine’s Day. Easterseals provided all
those in attendance with an amazing feast and everyone
enjoyed music, delicious food, and good laughs. The real joy
for the participants was in seeing all of the familiar faces and
spending time with new and old friends. A raffle was also held
and participants were awarded gift cards, gym memberships,
play tickets, and a four pack of tickets to the famous New
Jersey Lakewood Blueclaws baseball team. Grace Street was
certainly the place to be this Valentine’s Day!
