Marvelous Ms. Maria
I would like to highlight Maria for the hard-work
and dedication she exhibits everyday she comes
to work at the Raritan Valley Work Center. She
has proven herself invaluable and demonstrates
excellence in every task she is assigned. Maria
shows us that with proper support and a strong
work ethic, her hearing loss is a non-factor when it
comes to doing a job and doing it well.
In addition to her own work, Maria has provided
her peers with vocational training activities and
will often assist staff with clerical tasks. Staff will
continue to provide Maria with the skills to reach
her ultimate goals and will continue to praise Maria
for her invaluable skills that she displays every day.
Maria has stated that her dream job is to become
a teacher and I would never bet against her.
When she sets her mind on a goal, she rarely lets
anything get in her way.

Pretty For Prom
Two Easterseals residents, Christina and Marion, had the opportunity to
get dressed up and socialize with peers last year as part of the ARC’s
annual prom. This is an incredible event that features everything from
crystal chandeliers to prime-time food. The DJ blasts some tunes and
everyone has a fantastic time. After shopping dresses, getting their hair
and makeup done, we did a quick photo shoot and headed out for the
ball. As you can tell, these ladies left glowing.
